· Travel expenses: The organization covers travel expenses in the lowest fare, economy class, on the cheapest and most direct route between the approved service for rest and leisure purposes and the specified rest and leisure location. Whenever United Nations transportation is available, it is provided free of charge and no payment is made for travel expenses. Consolidated list of OHRM approved workplaces for rest and recreation (R&R) 1st employees who have been hired internationally in accordance with the Personnel Rule, have been appointed or have the approved workplace travel status for R&R purposes. (ST/AI/2011/7) · Duration: R&R is granted for five consecutive working days. R&R can be taken in conjunction with weekends, holidays or annual holidays. However, it cannot be combined with official travel, home leave, family visits, emergency leave, sick leave, family leave and travel from the mission area at the end of the employee`s appointment or assignment. . Approved workplace for rest and recreation: A place designated by the organization to relieve an unstable and stressful environment. Following inter-agency consultation, the Office of Human Resources Management (OHRM) approves R&R eligible locations. Please download the current approved list. · Location: R&R must be taken outside of the approved service for R&R purposes. Eligibility: The following persons are entitled to rest and leisure: · Eligible Service: R&R is granted after an eligible period of service in accordance with ST/AI/2001/7.
