Wireless Service Agreement At&t

Please read the attached customer agreement carefully. After your review, we will ask you to accept the agreement electronically. The Agreement is the governing document between you and AT&T. This summary provides you with a reference to key terms just for your convenience. There is no cellular network speed reduction when using Wi-Fi, and Wi-Fi data usage does not count towards a monthly data usage threshold for wireless data service. For more information, see att.com/broadbandinfo and att.com/datainfo. The Data Service may not be used in any manner that: defeats, hinders, penetrates or attempts to defeat, impede or attempt to defeat, impede or penetrate the security measures of AT&T`s network or wireless systems or the network(s) or systems of any other entity; accesses or attempts to access the accounts of others without authorization; or interferes with the ability of other persons or systems to use AT&T`s wireless services or other parties` Internet resources. This prohibition includes, but is not limited to: malware or ”malicious software” that is intentionally or unintentionally intended to infiltrate a network or computer system, such as spyware, worms, Trojan horses, rootkits and/or criminal software; ”Denial of service” attacks against a network host or individual user; and unsolicited ”spam” or commercial or bulk emails (or activities that have the effect of facilitating unsolicited commercial or bulk emails). Skilled households. For the purposes of access to AT&T, an ”Eligible Household” means (a) any person or household with at least one resident participating in the U.S. Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP); (b) with an address in AT&T`s twenty-one (21) government service area where we provide wired home Internet service, AND (c) no outstanding debt for AT&T`s fixed Internet service of any kind in the last six (6) months and no outstanding debt arising from AT&T`s Access Program. California households where at least one resident receives Supplementary Security Income (SSI) benefits may also be eligible under the same requirements that apply to CPAWS participants. Although Wi-Fi 1-6 (IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax) standards have theoretical maximum speeds of more than ten Mbps at more than one gigabit per second, actual Wi-Fi speeds are significantly lower than the theoretical maximum speeds that describe physical throughput, including Wi-Fi protocol communication, according to the applicable standard.

The result is that the maximum you can receive should not exceed 40% to 50% of the theoretical maximum standard Wi-Fi speed and can be significantly lower depending on other applicable factors. In addition to the above factors, the actual speed you experience on Wi-Fi depends in part on the speed of the connection between the Wi-Fi network you are accessing and the destination you want to reach on the Internet, which can be much lower than the theoretical maximum speed of the service. (Just as an example, if you order AT&T Internet 100, with an expected download speed of 100 Mbps according to the AT&T Speed Tier page, even if the Wi-Fi devices in your location and the device you are using are both capable of supporting the Wi-Fi 6 standard (IEEE 802.11ax) with a theoretical maximum speed of more than 1 Gbps, The theoretical maximum internet download speed should not exceed 100 Mbps when your device connects to your home Wi-Fi network.) If you cancel the Services before the end of the Term, you will pay an early cancellation fee (”ETF”). If you purchase alarm monitoring services, your ETF is $720 or $640 if you received RESTORED AT&T certified devices that will be reduced by $30 or $26.67 for each full month in which you maintain the Services prior to termination, subject to the following paragraph. If you only cancel one or more automation device plans, your ETF will be a fixed amount of $50 per plan. The ETF is not a penalty; These are costs to compensate us for your failure to maintain the Services for the applicable period. It also offers an alternative method to fulfill your obligation to pay the monthly service fee. 911 calls with TTY and real-time text: Due to technical limitations, Wi-Fi calls cannot be used with ATS devices and do not support ATS 911 calls. People with communication disabilities can use real-time text (att.com/RTT) as an alternative to ATS. 911 services can be obtained by calling (1) 911 with real-time text, (2) calling 911 directly from a TTY device on the cellular network or a landline phone, (3) sending a text message directly to 911, (4) calling a TTY or captioned telephone services (CTS) from a cordless or landline telephone, or (5) the use of relay services to perform an IP relay or CTS IP call over a cellular or IP network.

In addition to termination of the Service, these Equipment Return Terms will apply if your existing Equipment is replaced or upgraded for any reason. If we do not accept the new service contract, are we now exempt from our contract? You may authorize spouses, life partners, family members or other household members or designated persons to act on your behalf in administering your member account, including modifying or adding equipment and programs: (i) by granting that person access to your account password or confidential access code; (ii) updating your account information to add authorized users; (iii) granting rights and/or ordering authorisations to sub-account holders; and/or (iv) granting someone primary or secondary online access to administer your account (each such person, an ”Authorized User”). If you are not present at the time of installing a Service and/or if you do not identify yourself as a Member Account holder, you hereby authorize any adult present to act on your behalf, including acceptance of this Agreement and any related agreements necessary for the completion of the installation and/or activation of the Service, and approve changes to your Services. You may also allow such persons, as well as guests known to you, to access your Internet Services, subject to your obligations to perform appropriate security checks at all times with respect to access to your accounts, network and Internet services and to ensure that all such persons comply with the provisions of this Agreement. NOTE: AT&T`s mobile broadband Internet access services are generally subject to the terms of the AT&T Wireless Customer Agreement, which is available at www.att.com/legal/terms.wirelessCustomerAgreement.html. AT&T may provide you with tools or software to help you manage one or more aspects of your home network (including applications such as AT&T`s Smart Home Manager and network services such as AT&T Smart Security, whose software is then included in the term ”software” as used below). AT&T may also provide additional and optional security or network management applications for sale or subscription as part of your Service. Unless expressly stated otherwise, all amounts for the purchase or subscription of such Additional Services are separate and are in addition to the amounts payable for your Internet Service.

The use of these additional services may be subject to additional terms and conditions specified in this context. If you are an existing customer, this Agreement supersedes the Wireless Customer Agreement, the AT&T PREPAID Plan Terms and Conditions, the Data Services Agreement, the AT&T Telephone Terms of Use (VOIP), the Fixed Wireless Terms of Service, and the AT&T Internet Terms of Service. .
